Managing Forests for Wildlife: A Workshop for Forest Owners and Stewards

May 13 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

$20

The Nashwaak Watershed Association is hosting a spring workshop on managing forested properties to benefit wildlife and species at risk. Instructors Gareth Davies and Julie Henderson of the Maritime College of Forest Technology will discuss best management practices associated with wildlife habitat in actively managed forests, and will identify key wildlife habitat features that can be maintained, restored and/or enhanced in an actively managed forest.

The workshop-style morning (9-12) will take place in the Community Room at the Unity Centre (241 Canada St., Fredericton), with refreshments to be provided. After lunch (not provided, please bring your own), participants will carpool to a nearby woodlot in Penniac for a hike and discussion. The event will roughly end around 4pm.

Tickets for the event cost $20.00, which includes a membership to the Nashwaak Watershed Association. If you are already a member, tickets are available for $10.00. Register here: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/managing-forests-for-wildlife-tickets-596772682157
