Over the past two weeks, with the help of over 50 volunteers, we have planted over 975 native floodplain trees. Planted at Marysville Flats, these trees will help to restore our natural ecosystem and prevent flooding and erosion. We couldn’t do it without our volunteers! https://t.co/BNHdTOmz4x
I'm Amy and I live in Taymouth. I’ve joined the Landowner Conservation Program and really look forward to adding willow and other native species to the shoreline. For the next year I will be sharing periodic observations on the Nashwaak River– I’m calling this Wild Wednesdays. https://t.co/M2eUdKd3hE
It’s Tree Planting Season! Over the past two weeks, with the help of more than 50 volunteers, we have planted over 975 native floodplain trees. The majority of the trees planted were silver maples, a native floodplain species, but other tree species included red maple and red oak. Planted at Marysville Flats, these trees will help to restore our natural ecosystem and prevent both flooding and erosion. A big thank you to all of our community volunteers, as well as the teams from the Department of Justice and Public Safety and the Gaia Project that came out to help. We couldn’t do it without you! #MyNashwaak #eauNBwater ... See MoreSee Less
